Joshua Shamsi received a B.A. in Brain and Cognitive Science and Studio Arts from the University of Rochester in 1997.  He completed an MFA in photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 2003.  He is currently living in Jerusalem and working on several projects: he is photographing land in East Jerusalem with a land reclamation non-profit, as
well as working on a documentary project addressing life in Israel, centered around but not restricted to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.
