Ruth Anne Phillips is a Ph.D. candidate specializing in Pre-Columbian Art in the Art History Program at the Graduate Center, CUNY. She is currently writing her dissertation entitled "Pre-Columbian Appropriation: Ancient American Influence in U.S. Architecture, 1910-1940" with the help of Luce and Douglass dissertation awards. She has taught at various colleges and universities in the Greater New York Metropolitan area including the Pratt Institute and Montclair State University.
