Ioanna Theocharopoulou holds degrees in architecture from the Architectural Association in London and Columbia University. She is currently a Ph.D. student in the Program in Architecture (History and Theory) at Columbia University. Her dissertation is titled "Modern Architecture and Modern Life: Architecture, Urbanization and Popular Culture in Postwar Greece, 1949-1974".
