Ellen Hymowitz holds degrees from Princeton University and the Fashion Institute of Technology. Her paper, "A Trick of Self-Consciousness: Two meubles à surprises Incorporating Mirrors," was presented at the 2000 Conference of the Canadian Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies.
