Mimi Sherman has a degrees from New York University, the Fashion Institute of Technology and the Museum of American FolK Art. She is a Museum Curatorial Consultant who teaches and lectures on domestic technologies and their relation to interpretation of historic sites. She has contributed to numerous publications, primarily on the subjects of costume and artificial lighting.
